New bug checklist

Describe the bug
This has been happening for a while now. I use dark mode in most of my devices. When the app reconnects is flashes very briefly a white screen. This contrast blinds me and has awaken both my wife and son a fair amount of times when I’m using the phone in bed.

To Reproduce
Simply reconnect the app.

Expected behavior
I’d be happy if the screen flash was transparent so whatever color is in the background is what is shown. Otherwise, if dark mode on = black?
