# Developer menu
NavCog has developer menu to adjust parameters or to use utility functions. To enable the menu, you need to prepare developer keys for the NavCog app.

- prepare `dev.hashfile` by using NavCogTool like
```
NavCogTool -k "<key string>"
```
- copy the generated hash string into `dev.hashfile` file in NavCog
- make a text file named `dev.keyfile` which only contains the `<key string>` which will be copied into Document directory of NavCog app via iTunes File sharing function
