That's a very vague statement, |

What I meant was that if you press the pitch forward, then in acro and level the drone flies forward with the front, and in posthold the drone flies forward sideways. |

It's important here to distinguish a couple things. The attitude of the aircraft, and the location of the aircraft. The attitude can be described as roll, pitch, and yaw. Are you saying it "leans sideways" (has non-zero roll attitude)? Or are you saying it's off course - that when you tell it to go north, it instead goes northwest? Or maybe you're seeing something in yaw - it's crabbing? "Flying sideways" could mean either roll, yaw, or course. All of which have different explanations. Are you referring to roll, yaw, or course? In position mode, you're controlling course. Unless you set it to atti mode, which is a weird combination of position and angle. Also, we assume that "forward" means from the point of view of the aircraft, not relative to the pilot. If you have headfree mode on that'll cause extra confusion. |

The direction of movement does not match the orientation of the drone. Within about 20 degrees. |

It never will, if movement means relative to you, because wind. The attitude (orientation) measured at the props will match the movement relative to the air, always. The thrust from the props always moves the aircraft through the air stream in the direction that the props are pointed. So if the props are pointed straight up and the air (wind) is moving northwest relative to you, the aircraft will move northwest relative to you.

Ok. Let's start from the beginning. I have an FPV quadcopter. I look in the glasses. Level mode. I touch only one direction of one stick. I move the pitch forward - right stick forward. I see in the camera a tilt forward and movement forward. I turn on posthold. I do the same. I see a tilt to the side. And movement to the side. |

Okay, now we're getting more clear, think. You mentioned declination. You probably will want to have automatic declination turned on. That's inav_auto_mag_decl = ON You may also want to go to the Receiver tab and push the pitch stick back forth while watching the roll and yaw channels. If the roll or yaw channels move when you adjust the pitch stick, calibrate the sticks on your radio. Assuming that's all okay, check the alignment of the FC and the mag in the frame. Are they mounted square in the frame? If so, check the alignment settings for each by typing "get align" in the CLI. Then you can look for any power wires or buzzers near the mag which may be creating an interfering magnetic field. |

At the same time, everything is fine in acro and level.
What could this be related to?
