Hi Guys, My Tiers Subscription is finished before the time, now i dont have access to my premium anymore iam trying to upgrade and nothing is working can someone please help me?

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. It seems that the benefits provided by github student and github copilot have ended earlier than expected, and it’s no longer possible to enable GitHub Copilot.

Hey! That sounds like a major headache, especially when you're in the middle of a workflow.

Since we are just community members, we can't see your private billing details, but here are a few things you should check that usually cause this:

1. Bank/Payment Flags: Check your Settings > Billing and plans > Payment history. Sometimes a bank might block a recurring charge, which causes GitHub to pause the subscription immediately even if the month isn't technically over.
2. The 'Ghost' Session: Try logging out and back into GitHub within your IDE (VS Code, etc.). Sometimes the Copilot extension doesn't realize the subscription status has changed until you refresh the session.
3. Browser Glitch: For the error you get when trying to upgrade, try doing it in an Incognito/Private window. This helps rule out any cache issues that might be blocking the payment gateway.

If these don't work, definitely open a ticket at GitHub Support. They are the only ones who can fix account-specific payment errors.

If your Copilot subscription ended earlier than expected and you’re unable to upgrade or renew, here are a few things you can try:

• Check your billing status
  Go to GitHub → Settings → Billing & plans → Plans and usage and confirm whether the Copilot subscription is expired, canceled, or still active.

• Verify the account type
  Make sure you’re logged into the same GitHub account that originally had Copilot enabled (personal vs. organization account).

• Payment method issues
  If the upgrade button isn’t working, it may be related to an expired card, pending payment, or billing lock. Try updating or re-adding your payment method.

• Try a different browser / clear cache
  Sometimes the billing page fails to load correctly due to cached data or browser extensions.

• Contact GitHub Support
  If none of the above works, this usually requires direct assistance from GitHub’s billing team. You can open a ticket here:

Unfortunately, Copilot subscription issues can’t be fixed directly through Discussions, but GitHub Support should be able to restore or clarify your subscription status.
