Hey, so i want to build a system where we can fetch all the premium request each of the user uses in the Organization (Github copilot).
Is there any way to do that?

Yo, yes, this is possible. here's how xd

if you're an Enterprise Owner/BillingManager:

use this API:
GET /enterprises/{enterprise}/settings/billing/usage?user={username}

This gives ya per-user premuim request data directly

If ya're just an Org Admin

The API blocks per-user filtering for enterprise-owned orgs [ yea, annoyin' lmao],
ur best bet is:

1. Go to Billing & Licensing -> Usage Tab
2. Download the Copilot premium request usage report
3. It Includes per-user breakdown, timestamps, model used

At the moment, there isn’t a way to fetch premium request usage per individual user for GitHub Copilot within an organization on GitHub.

What’s currently available

You can access:

Organization-level billing and usage data
High-level Copilot insights (like active users and adoption)

However:

❌ No API or feature to break down usage per user
❌ No visibility into “premium requests” per individual
Possible workarounds

Depending on your use case, you might consider:

Estimating usage based on active users
Creating internal policies (e.g., access control per team)
Building a proxy/logging layer (only if you control the request flow, which is usually not the case with Copilot)
Conclusion

Right now, GitHub does not expose granular Copilot usage data at the user level. If this is important for billing or monitoring, it would likely require a feature request to GitHub.

Yes this is the issue, if we want to build an dashboard which tracks the premium request for the individual user then that would be nice to have.
