1. Scikit-build-core Usage Metrics
   The GitHub query tracking the usage of scikit-build-core in public projects shows fluctuations:

   • As of Sept 20th, 2024, the query returned 732 results.
   • At the previous meeting on Sept 6th, 2024, the result was 920.

2. Python 3.7 Usage
   According to PyPI stats, Python 3.7 continues to have users, despite its "end-of-life"¹ status.

3. Pull Request Review
   Discussed scikit-build-core PR #904.

4. cython-cmake

   • Add copyright notices to the cython-cmake repository scikit-build/cython-cmake.

5. GraalPy Support

   • Upcoming support for GraalPy in cibuildwheel and pybind11 is in the works.
   • GraalPy is a Python implementation based on GraalVM.

6. PEP 639 Implementation

   • pyproject-metadata now supports PEP 639, which enhances license clarity through improved package metadata.

7. CMake Module for Scikit-build-core

   • Discussed issue #902: the creation of a FindScikitBuildCore.cmake module.
   • An idea was raised about leveraging FetchContent to support downloading FindXXX.cmake or UseXXX.cmake modules directly from PyPI or GitHub.

8. Next Meeting

   • The developer meeting scheduled for October 4th is canceled. The next community meeting will be held on October 18th.
