use of mariadb possible?

Hello, is it possible to use planka with an existing mariadb out of the box?
Replacing the "postgresql" in the database path, planka container wont start.
Also created a database planka and a user planka in the database before starting the container.

Or is planka per se limited to use postgresql database?
