unusable quarto formatting

Sometimes a quarto file in positron will get re-formatted in an unusable way. I just opened a project and a quarto doc i was working don no longer has any code chunks or YAML, and instead there many # inserted as new lines. I'm not sure what causes this and i can't seem to undo it, so i need to basically manually re-format the file by going through it, creating code chunks and then pasting code inside the code chunks

I'm not sure if this is a positron or quarto issue, though i've never had this issue when using R studio so im starting the discussion here.

Do you mean you run a command such as "Format Document" and it gets garbled? Or are you saying it spontaneously gets overwritten with # everywhere?

I also don't think this could be Positron or Air. I opened quarto-dev/quarto#683 to track and prioritize this problem (maybe eventually come up with a reproducible set of steps?).

@juliasilge, thanks. I am not able to reproduce it, but I am sure it happened when I saved the Quarto document. In settings, the Quarto file is automatically formatted with the Air extension.
Off-topic, what version of Positron do you have in this YouTube video titled "Release an R package with Positron"? I find that the action bar is absent, and the icons are correctly shown.

@kldhana You can turn the editor action bar off with settings like this:

@juliasilge correct, I am able to turn the action bar off and show these buttons on the previous/default position. However, on my theme (Catppuccin) the background color of these buttons differs from the background color of tab background. I provided the css solution there 6527
