🚀 Getting Started

Prerequisites

• A paid Claude subscription (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise)
• The Claude Desktop app for macOS with Cowork enabled

Installation

Option 1 — Upload via Cowork UI (Recommended)

1. Download the latest viralpen.zip from the Releases page.
2. Open the Claude Desktop app and switch to the Cowork tab.
3. Click Plugins in the bottom-left sidebar.
4. Click the + button → Select "Upload local plugin".
5. Drag and drop viralpen.zip into the upload area, or click Browse files to select it.
6. Click Upload — the plugin is now installed and active.

Option 2 — Clone from GitHub

Verify Installation

After uploading, you should see ViralPen listed under your Plugins panel in Cowork. Type / in the Cowork command bar — you should see all viralpen: commands available.

Do I need to know how to code to use this plugin?

No. ViralPen is entirely Markdown and JSON — no coding required. Just upload the zip file to Cowork and start using the slash commands.

Can I use this with Claude Code instead of Cowork?

Yes! Claude Cowork plugins are compatible with Claude Code. Clone the repo and the skills/commands will work in your Claude Code environment as well.

How do I update the plugin?

Download the latest release, go to Plugins in Cowork, remove the old version, and upload the new zip file. Your customizations in local copies will be preserved if you've forked the repo.

Can I add Instagram or TikTok support?

Absolutely! Create new command files in the commands/ folder and add platform-specific rules to the skills. Follow the existing LinkedIn/Twitter/Facebook patterns as templates.

Why are posts returned in code blocks?

Code blocks preserve exact formatting — line breaks, spacing, unicode characters, and emojis. This makes it easy to copy-paste directly into any social media platform without losing the carefully crafted structure.
