Crash when trying to open profiles

Problem
when clicking the profile button next to the hamburger menu browser crashes with

not sure if matters but running the AVX build with flags
--enable-blink-features=MiddleClickAutoscroll --enable-features=VaapiOnNvidiaGPUs --gtk-version=4 --custom-ntp=https://dashboard.icylair.com --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform-hint=auto

this was working perfectly with the last release(not sure for beta)

@gz83 still happens, tested by:
close thorium, rm -rf .config/thorium, open, sign into google acc and enable sync, wait for sync to be done, click on the icon, the moment i click; freeze and crash with the same error

What is your screen's DPI/scaling factor? I think passing --force-device-scale-factor with an appropriate value might be a temporary solution.

Also that flag does not change the behavior so unrelated?

The --force-device-scale-factor flag will only force the browser to scale temporarily to workaround the problem, and should not cause any other behavioral changes.

this doesn't deserve a new issue made, but after this recent update, all my passwords, browser cache/cookies (my pathbuilder2e character sheets were saved in local cache) just disappeared. All was gone, never happened with previous updates. I have no clue why this happened now but not before. To be more on topic, I'm having the exact issue as well, as OP here does, whenever wanting to add a new profile, the browser crashes.

I also experienced the same problem, and it really affected my work flow. Also certain parts of using the browser was broken. I decided to downgrade until the issues were fixed. I am currently using Version 130.0.6723.174 (Official Build) stable, built on Ubuntu (AVX) (64-bit).

We apologize for the inconvenience. The crash was caused by a missing vector icon in the profile selector menu, and Chrome/Chromium's image_skia doesn't handle blank icons well.

We have already selected two patches from upstream that can fix the crash (they are parent and child patches), and the crash will no longer occur in subsequent versions.
