[Accessibility] Cannot navigate the Menubar menu using the keyboard

There is no way to access these items via the keyboard.

Expected Behaviour:

• If you open the menubar item menu and press the "Tab" key, I would expect the "Focus Follows Mouse" option to be selected.
• You should be able to use the up and down arrow keys or tab to move between items.
• Pressing "Space" should toggle any toggles
• Pressing "Enter" should open App Rules or Settings or open any of the external links
• Pressing "Escape" should close the menu and focus on the last active window.

@yougotwill You’re killing me 😂 I hate working in SwiftUI, mostly because I’m not good at frontend design as I overthink it and then it's buggy as I usually do Ui stuff after work not on free days as I hate it and end up due to combination of being tired after work and hating it as I'm not good at it just vibecoding it and next day forgetting either to wire/complete l;ogic for it or the UI for ther logic. You’re right though, it makes sense so everything can be fully keyboard driven.

I don’t have a good reason to postpone it, so I’ll be honest, it will get done. But since I dislike it and would probably just vibecode it, I’m putting it at the back of my to do list. I don’t fully trust AI to handle it properly yet, and I really don’t want to dig through Apple docs just to feed them back into AI.

I’d much rather someone who likes Omni and is strong in UI/UX open a PR. We’re at 1,000 users now, some in high stakes environments, and I don’t want to risk breaking things by hacking something together. You can already see some rough edges in the settings UI with weird visual bugs.

Just doing my best for this project! @BarutSRB 😂 I understand why you want to backlog it and it's not high priority for my usage. I just wanted to bring it to your attention since I have friends who rely on window managers and keyboard navigation because of disabilities.

I'm not a swift developer so we will have to hope someone picks this up 🤞

Made a starting point in #152 - though also not a big Swift guy. When said 'strong UI/UX swift dev' comes through, hopefully they can use it as a starting point.

@ethaneng Trust me for macOS (which is hardest OS to make a tiling WM) I experimented with other languages, from my testing Rust made no difference on p95 tests, only languages that can make a slight difference but only in small parts of OmniWM are C and Zig so I stuck with swift as it's perfectly optimized for the needs of tiling WM by apple and swift guys,I even tested a Mach port for cli which made absolute 0 difference as you still depend on window server and api, even though it sounds nice on paper that is why Yabai didn't do Mach port for cli.

How did you access the menu? I can't seem to see the OmiWM icon on the top menu bar in my Mac?

For me this was not working in 0.4.2, but fixed with 0.4.2.1

Using Tahoe 26.3, on M1 laptop (but using closed lid on single external monitor)

Confirm the item isn't hidden under the notch or behind other menu items. I had this issue for a while without realising. Hold CMD + Drag the items in the bar away to the left until you reveal the new ones
