Since [1], this will come automatically from `rustc-std-workspace-core` and the crates.io dependency should no longer be specified. [1]: rust-lang/rust#141993
This needs to wait for rust-lang/rust#141993 to merge, like the other PRs there. |

Indeed, that's the tradeoff here - once a new version is published, that will prevent it from being used in older versions of Rust. This shouldn't be a problem because of the lockfile, but it does mean things would get a bit weird if we need to do something unusual like backport a |
