About this game

Story

A family of mice has invaded the doctor's laboratory to steal cheese. Unfortunately, they accidentally broke a vial of the doctor's elixir potion, leading to mutations that made them highly intelligent and powerful. Discovering a secret dungeon beneath the laboratory, built by the old doctor, the mice took control of it and its many defenses.

Realizing the catastrophic potential of these mutations, the doctor drinks the special elixir to small himself and embarks on a journey through the labyrinthine dungeon to catch the mice. He must contend with attacks from the mice and navigate through the traps and safety measures originally created by the old doctor, now turned against him by the cunning mouse. Throughout his quest, the doctor uncovers the history and secrets of the labyrinth laboratory through manuscripts left by the old doctor.

The doctor have to take advantage of various kinds of elixir portion to erase the mutation of the mice and solve the great mouse catastrophe.

Experience

Mouse Catastrophe is a 2D rogue-like game where players control the doctor's movements through a vast and intricate map. While the map offers the freedom for exploration, there is a single path leading to each boss. The player's objective is to eliminate all four bosses scattered across four levels. Hidden levels containing essential resources also exist and must be discovered to reach the ultimate goal: touching all the boss with proper elixir portion to deactivate the mutation of the mice.

Installation

For windows, MacOs and Linux users

  1. Have make installed.
  2. Run make in the root directory of the project. It should start to download the required packages.
  3. Run elm reactor in the root directory of the project.
  4. Open http://localhost:8000/index.html in your browser.
  5. Open index.html in your browser.

Our game can also be played online on SilverFOCS website, and it is avaliable for all server. Find the game named "11 - Mouse Catastrophe".
On the right buttom side of our team column, you will see five button. Click the rightmost button.

Usage

Click the first right button to play our game.

Contributing

Due to the rules and regulation of the SilverFocs incubator, pushing code to this project by people other than assigned members of the group is prohibited.

Other ways of contribution, such as reviews and bug reports are welcome.
