Oh the irony of "leave us alone" being the contents of defacement and hooliganism. 😂 I also find it quite interesting that many socialists are very happy being called socialist, whereas many fascists seem to think it's the most horrible thing in the world to be called a fascist. Why won't the fascists simply embrace who they are and what they believe in? Why all the dishonesty and dissembling? |
I doubt fascists care about being called fascists. It's the ones who aren't that are tired of it. Socialism isn't even relevant, as it can be just as authoritarian as fascism. The antithesis would be capitalism, and nobody cares if you call them a capitalist. |

@jaredcwhite is it quite possible you might have confused historical fiction with programming? Like who cares if the code is fascist so long as the requests are routed on time. Is it maybe too much of an ask to consider that you separate your political fandom from this work? |

I don't know where you get the idea that this has anything to do with socialism. You could be a centrist or even a conservative and agree with these opinions. It is basic human decency. The only reason you would disagree is if you believe racism and transphobia and generally being a hateful person is totally normal and acceptable. Usually the people who think that way belong to the far right. The EDL, Tommy Robision, etc belong to the far right and DHH is trying to normalize him. I have a problem with that. As an Irish person, I know who and what he is supporting. So that's why I signed. And I am happy I did. Being silent is worse. |

You have no idea how happy I am to see this PR after the crap I've had to deal with from the far left from simply being a straight white male who is from Texas and likes South Park humor. Now that Charlie Kirk is dead, I despise anyone who even remotely smells left. I used to simply coexist with anyone no matter their political views, but now I can't stand anyone who identifies as left-leaning simply because of how vile they are while playing victim. |

I think we can do an awful lot better than what you've posted when it comes to the future of open source projects that a lot of enterprise depends on. This isn't reddit...we don't need to be so addicted to our fandoms that the fandoms become the only disourse. In addition I actually don't care what people do in their private moments, I allow lots of grace in their public moments, and I don't tend to presume superiority over others. There is an awful lot at stake here and it's not helpful to be petty. I think this should be the bare minimum of conduct in order to assume power over the conduct of others. |

The days of socialist censorship and cancel-culture are coming to an end. If you don't like someone, nobody obliges you to deal with them.
Find another business, product or framework. It's that easy.
And while you're at it, it wouldn't hurt if you lowered your envy and resentment for other people's success.
Stop trying to forcibly change the world to your technocratic-socialist dystopia where everybody is forced to like everybody else and to take no step that may offend anybody.
Creativity requires freedom (to act and to speak). The opposite of play is tyranny. And it's the latter that this kind of messages lead to.
You want to play your leftist-socialist woke games? Find someone willing to play with you voluntarily and go for it. Leave the rest of us alone.
