Issue Description

User cannot receive SMS verification codes when signing up with a Philippines phone number. The app shows "verification code sent" but no SMS is received.

Device Information

  • Device: iPhone 15
  • OS: iOS 18.3 (user reported "iOS 26.3" but this is likely iOS 18.3)
  • Country: Philippines

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Attempt to sign up with a Philippines phone number
  2. Request verification code
  3. App shows "verification code sent"
  4. No SMS is received

What User Has Tried

  • Checked all SMS folders (main inbox, spam, unknown senders, recently deleted)
  • Waited hours between attempts
  • Multiple verification code requests

Expected Behavior

SMS verification code should be delivered to the user's phone

Actual Behavior

No SMS is received despite app confirming code was sent

Additional Context

This appears to be a regional SMS delivery issue specific to Philippines phone numbers. The user is interested in using Grid as a Life360 alternative and potentially donating if the app works well.

Priority

This is blocking new user onboarding for Philippines users.
