Welcome to Scarlet Foundry! We're building open-source creative tools to empower writers and make the writing process more engaging.

Scarlet Foundry is the creative outlet for Jacqualine Patravee (Scar/Scarlet), an Indo-Thai developer and writer based in Bangkok. We're passionate about leveraging AI to assist writers.

Our mission is to democratize creativity by providing writers with free and accessible AI-powered tools that spark inspiration.

We're focused on developing tools to help writers:

• Brainstorm ideas
• Overcome writer's block
• Craft compelling narratives

Our primary project, Veridia, uses technologies like Python (for AI/ML), JavaScript/TypeScript (for the user interface), and potentially Go or Rust.

• Veridia: An AI-powered writing assistant designed to help writers at every stage of the writing process. Veridia helps you unlock your creative potential. (More details coming soon!)
• The Starborn Saga A new writing project and the first test for Veridia, The first sequel is on the way. We will published in later this year.

We're looking for contributors to help us build and improve Veridia! If you're interested in:

• AI/ML Development: Contributing to the AI algorithms and models.
• Frontend Development: Building intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Writing/Storytelling: Providing feedback on generated content.
• Testing & Feedback: Helping us identify bugs and improve the user experience.

Our projects are licensed under different terms, depending on the type of content:

• Software: All software projects under Scarlet Foundry are licensed under the MIT License. This means you are free to use, modify, and distribute the code for both commercial and non-commercial purposes, as long as you include the original copyright notice and the license text. The full MIT License text can be found in the LICENSE file in the root of this repository.

• Writing and Creative Content: All writing, stories, and other creative content are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This means you are free to share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, as long as you give appropriate credit. The specific license terms will always be indicated on each individual work.
