Wayfire Website Update

With Killown's assistance, we have updated the Wayfire website theme to enhance its design, and user experience. These changes include improved navigation, flashy buttons, better visuals.

Also bootstrap has been enabled non locally through

In the production version this can simply be added back in master.scss then add back @import "bootstrap/scss/bootstrap" and removal of the link

For any modifications or additional changes needed, please detail below;

A few things I noticed:

  • I think we should choose Sunset Orange as the theme, no need to let the user decide for themselves lol
  • logo is not really aligned and potentially too big?
    slurped
  • Could we hide the navigation bar or at least glue it to the top when scrolling down?

This is nonetheless a great improvement, feels like moving from 2005 into 2025 :)

The top bar has now been fixed in position, the icon has been centered and the theme is only sunset orange no user switch option, though it has created a slight side effect the size of top bar has also been reduced, though this does seem to fit better if you want it increased in size or any other mod lets me know. Glad you feel this is a big leap forward—2005 to 2025 is quite the jump! 😄
