Add support for OpenSearch 3.0

I tried this:

$ ddev dotenv set .ddev/.env.opensearch --opensearch-tag="3.0.0" --opensearch-dashboards-tag="3.0.0"

Then when I started ddev it showed this:

3.0.0: Pulling from opensearchproject/opensearch-dashboards
Digest: sha256:e0b295efeb3ebc4298075bcd88a0503039ebfe0b133cdb5d58325e270831ef54
Status: Downloaded newer image for opensearchproject/opensearch-dashboards:3.0.0
docker.io/opensearchproject/opensearch-dashboards:3.0.0

It does seem like this was enough to make it work.

I assume you were using opensearch 2.2.0?

Take a look at the .ddev/.env.opensearch and see what you find there and please provide it here.

I started with the initial install, then I used the ddev dotenv command above.

This is the contents of my .ddev/.env.opensearch file:

OPENSEARCH_TAG="3.0.0"
OPENSEARCH_DASHBOARDS_TAG="3.0.0"

And you can ddev ssh -s opensearch to get inside the opensearch container and see what's there...

Here's what I see when I do ddev ssh -s opensearch:

[opensearch@61edb5197132 ~]$ opensearch --version

Would a PR that showed the ddev dotenv set .ddev/.env.opensearch command for v3.0.0 be useful?

Doesn't the README show it well enough? If not, sure add a PR and link to the available tags. But I would imagine that '3' for the tag would be more useful over time than '3.0.0', which sounds very raw. See tags at https://hub.docker.com/r/opensearchproject/opensearch/tags

Oh, I note that the current setup will already get opensearch 3. It uses the latest tag, which is currently the same as 3 and 3.0.0 See the tags
