I think it would be very beneficial to help users stand up cluster on various platforms BEFORE starting the quick start installer.

Proposed solution

For example, we could start

Setting up a cluster on:

• Red Hat OpenShift on AWS
• IBM
• Coreweave
• Google
• etc etc

and have the menu link to the docs on setting up eachj.

I achieved this for basically any provider with nixos-anywhere for remote deployment, facter for generic hardware configuration, disk auto detect and configuration (max. raid1) with disko and nvidia-container-toolkit for NVIDIA device detection and auto CDI setup. Just need root ssh to the bare metal or VM machine.

Comes with all the goodies that nixos provides:

1. immutablity
2. declarative system configuration
3. near-100% reproducability
4. atomic updates
5. Running on latest kernel & NVIDIA drivers
   and many more.

Everything in HA, Cilium for CNI.
Still pretty opinionated, as I also added a multi-tier network architecture using wireguard and cluster join failover address with keepalived. Currently doing everything on hetzner bare metal, linode and edge nodes (PCs with GPUs).
