Copilot Pro not activated after payment #167046

Select Topic AreaQuestion GitHub Feature AreaCopilot BodyHello GitHub Support, I subscribed to GitHub Copilot Pro, and the payment was processed successfully, but the Pro features (such as Claude Sonnet 4) are not yet active. I am unable to access Claude Sonnet 4 either in Visual Studio Code or on copilot.microsoft.com. Here are my details:
Please help me activate the Copilot Pro features as soon as possible. Thank you. |

@alaesm Hi Good To See You :) If You Have Issues With Your Account Then U Need To Raise A Ticket To The Github CUstomer Support Because They Will Not See Your Problems Here Hope You Understand :) |

Have you had any update on this? I have the same issue, upgraded from free plan once i used my 50 message limit, to pro but i still cant use any of the models payment has come off my credit card and my github account shows the pro subscription active. I have raised ticket with support as well but havent heard back yet |

I have the same problem, its been nearly a week now, the confirmation payment is deducted twice and now I am on a limited quota which is basically I cannot use it. I pay, got charged twice, barred, create a ticket and no reply until today. |

I have the same problem. I purchased the Copilot Pro plan on Apple Store. The transaction was successful and my money was taken, but the Copilot Pro service was never activated. I tried to restore the purchase within the GitHub app, but onlt received a notification "You are already eligible for a free plan". Is it the free plan that blocks the activation? Ridiculous. I requested a refund with the Apple Store but the request was declined. |

I have same issue but my pro was activated for like 10min then i switched my chatgpt model then came error i got logged out from account then i logged in again and alls is gone. in my payment settings it dont shown any transactions and i dont have copilot pro. Idk if this is a server problem so maybe it needs a hour or two i will update if i get my subscription back |

I am facing the same issue as well. I made a payment for GitHub Copilot Pro+ on 12/10/2025 as per my billing cycle, and the subscription was active. However, the very next day, on 12/11/2025, my account was downgraded to the free version. I have already raised a support ticket (Ticket ID: 3955632) in the GitHub Support portal, but I have not received any response for the past five days. This issue is impacting my business, so I kindly request that it be resolved at the earliest. |

This is a common issue with GitHub Copilot Pro activations—payment processes successfully, but features (like premium models such as Claude Sonnet 4) don't show up right away due to sync delays between billing and the Copilot service. Verify Subscription Status: Force a Sync in Your IDE (VS Code is most common): Check on copilot.microsoft.com: Other Basics: If That Doesn't Work Submit a private ticket here: https://support.github.com/contact (choose "Billing" or "Copilot"). Support usually resolves these within 1–3 days (faster if you follow up). |
