Test latest Ruby on both Windows versions available, test latest JRuby on latest Windows (don't use the -latest label so we are in control when to switch).
"The macOS-10.15 environment is deprecated" warnings are displayed when running these jobs. Will stop working soon: actions/runner-images#5583
Only test MRI on macOS, running the JVM based Rubies should be the same everywhere.
Test oldest non-EoL Ruby on 18.04 and latest on 22.04 (only 3.1 available there anyway, https://github.com/ruby/setup-ruby/tree/v1.111.0#supported-platforms).
Switch them to Ubuntu 20.04.

Oh wow, this PR is waiting for status from the jobs I've removed... and the main branch is protected meaning CI needs to be green before I can merge (I'm not admin). It all makes sense that you can not just make a PR removing all the jobs and then do whatever you want... but pretty confusing. @sporkmonger can you merge? |
