Purpose
Characters with diacritics (
àáâäǎæãåāèéêëěẽēėęìíîïǐĩīıįòóôöǒœøõōùúûüǔũūűů) are displayed incorrectly in Google Chrome and other browsers are downloading more font files than necessary.Browsers appear to favor later declarations even if earlier declarations provide a better match based on the provided unicode range.
